It's a bird, no it's a plane, No, its a baby!

Updated: Jan 31, 2023

Good morning cozy critters. Today is about inventive ways to help with a new baby in the home. Now personally I know some soon to be mom and here are some ideas from moms. First we all want to safe space for them to play in. One that is difficult for them to escape while learning to sit up to crawling. But want the baby to be safe as well from hard corners and getting into things not meant for them. One creative way moms have dealt with this is they set up an inflatable pool inside. This creates a safe space for the child to play in and soft environment. Below is a picture of an example a mom did for her baby, then a link to one you can order for your home. So when my children were younger I think hardest part for me was the teething stage. They are in a pain that is hard to control and for a new mom that can be really hard. I remember staying up some nights crying with my baby because they were in pain and I felt like I couldn't help. Now a tip for new moms do not use Baby Oral-gel because it makes the gums tougher for the teeth to break through. Baby teething tablets and freeze-able chewing on toys will be your best friend. Below is just a simple link to one of many themed frozen chewing toys and teething tablets can be pick up at any local shop. Alright now some are not able to handle this but if you really want to save some money get reusable diapers. They not only save your pocket for few years to come but also the environment. I personally wished I had gone on that route instead of spending 100$'s of dollars a year to just throw away every single one. These reusable diapers are better for baby skin as many and most come in a more breathable material for the area down there. These adjust as well as your young one grows so no size changing or having half a pack of disposable diapers left over because the baby grew. The snap buttons make it just a little more difficult for the streaker stage babies as it is more difficult to pull off. I know the idea of washing poop off something may not be for all but I promise as a mom of three you will be cleaning poop off the baby and clothing at some point anyway might as well save money too. What is cool is below a link for a 6 pack that has cool designs for baby and extra inserts for mom. Now not all moms can or able to breast feed their babies but breast milk happens and so do the leaks. Below is a link for simple washable breast milk pads to protect the shirts or dress. These are helpful because once you are out and about again, leaks can make it very uncomfortable when you are out. Now I still can not for the life of me do a swaddle wrap, this technical way is very helpful to getting a newborn comfortable. A nurse normally instructs you on how to do it but middle of night trying to remember with lack of sleep can be frustrating especially for a new mom. I suggest these that are linked below that are easy to use. These give the baby a secure feeling similar to being in the womb helping your little sleep. Which in turn helps you get a little more sleep. Now for many moms including myself having the baby close for the first few months make feeding easier and our stress level just a little lower. Sleeping with the baby can be dangerous for some and impossible for others, but having them to far makes more times getting up and putting back down a long sleepless night. I suggest this co sleeper linked below because it has easy access panel allowing you to keep your baby close without actual in the same bed. This sleeper also allows for rocking the baby to help get him or her to sleep. And last helps create that space to allow you to slowly transition into their own sleeping area eventually. Well I hope this add some helpful information for mom all around. Have a cozy day Critters!
