Good Morning cozy critters! Today is about basement upgrades for kids. Come back over next few days to see ideas for he/she, family room or extra guest room basement ideas. So if you are luck enough you have a home with a basement in it and with kids can be great as a kids play room. If you go down the kid route and decide to make this into an area for them I suggest an indoor play ground. This way for busy moms/dads or for rainy day fun they can simply go down to the basement to burn that extra energy. The first picture below is an example of a basement play room before and after. For starters one of the first things you will need to get is some indoor rock climbing stuff. Good news there is a 25+ item set with all you need to get started for only 35$(picture and link below). This is a fun way for kids to burn energy and we all know kids love to climb. As kids are kids they will need a soft landing and not all basement floors are soft. So the mats pictured below are nice and thick creating that safe landing area in case of falls or jumps. The ones shown below are black and the link sends you to them but they have other colors available so you can create any color theme you would enjoy or the kids. Easy to put together as well.As the kids have been playing and they will need a break or one is not as interested in actual climbing but wants to hang around, I suggest these awesome hanging seats for them. They come with all you need to set it up so easy I can do it. Holds up to 300lbs and has little pockets inside them for kids to store a book or device for safe keeping while playing. They have a few color options and reasonably prices at 30$. All kids at some point while playing get thirsty and need will need a beverage. To avoid the "Mom/Dad can you get me drink?" I would add a small mini fridge for only drinks so that way you can get a few more moments of peace. Below is a tiny fridge that is meant for only small cans but if combined with the purchase of the small reusable bottle recently featured in a lot of popular tic tok videos you can have drinks at the ready for them that are healthy but satisfying.
